Palas Art Gallery in Zetland, Sydney, opened its doors in February 2024 with the exhibition "Nothing is Universal, Not Even Air," showcasing a series of silkscreen paintings by Marco Fusinato, a Melbourne-based artist.
Founded by Tania Doropoulus and Matt Glenn, former directors of Frieze London and Sadie Coles HQ, the gallery boasts an impressive schedule of upcoming exhibitions.
The gallery is situated in a two-storey warehouse, with the ground floor designated for exhibitions and the second floor for presenting works and hosting artists and events. Quantum Projects was commissioned by the gallery to devise a lighting design tailored to the various spaces and functions.
The gallery space on the ground is illuminated with a linear lighting system by LED lighting. The chosen linear profile and LED tape deliver exceptional uniform illumination of both the vertical and horizontal surfaces, ensuring that the changing exhibitions are illuminated with high-quality, evenly distributed light.
Additionally, the interesting geometric forms created by the profile itself serve as an eye-catching design element within the industrial aesthetic of the gallery space. Product Featured is made to measure linear profile, P3535 finished white with opal diffuser and fitted with Effi-Plus High Output LED tape.
